Hi - my name is Graham and welcome to my web site and thank you for dropping by. Please feel free to have a look around at some of the images that I have taken from around Australia and occasionally from elsewhere.
I have created this web site mostly to satisfy my wifes demands 'you have got so many photos why don't you do something with them'. So here they are, a selection of my photos that are taken mainly in Australia and occasionally overseas. But the main emphisis is Australia and in particular the Australian outback.
Over recent years we have spent most of each winter period and beyond in mostly more remote parts of Australia. One of our favourite areas is that large area of Australia bounded by Mungeranie, Birdsville, Tibooburra and Wyndorah but in all honesty, it is extremely hard to pick a favourite as the more that you see of the Australian outback the more that you realise there is to see.
Other photographic interests include close focus (butterflies, bees, bugs etc), wildlife and HDR photography (see my HDR page). I hang out to emulate some of the wonderful BIF (bird in flight) shots that you can find in various places on the internet but it is sooooo hard and takes more patience than I am afraid I have, but I do try.
I am also experimenting with mono (B/W) which is evident in the '2010 touring gallery' on the galleries page. Many years ago I was very much into black and white photography to the extent of developing and printing my own photographs. The interest wained but more recently with the advent of having the dark room sitting on your desk, the interest has been rekindled and the wonderful cameras that are now available at rasonable prices makes it so satisfying.
